We Made It!

This week has been a crazy week full of unpacking and organizing. Dave spent the entire week setting up our house while I started orientation at Doulos. After much cleaning and moving we finally are feeling a little more settled. Dave will start his job on Monday and I will start the first official day of school! Below are a few pictures of our new life in Jarabacoa, DR. We are both so excited to officially start our ministries on

Though things aren't completely settled and we still have a lot of questions about what our lives will be like in Jarabacoa, we KNOW God is the one who is in control. He has placed us here for His purposes. There is no better place then to be on an adventure with God!

Jeremiah 29:11

Our Story

Winter 2008
Dave had just graduated from Taylor University and had accepted a math position at Santiago Christian School in the Dominican Republic. Megan followed a similar path by just graduating from Indiana Wesleyan and was going to teach second grade at the same school.

Summer 2011
Megan and Dave began dating. Dave returned to the States to teach high school math. Megan began her final year teaching at SCS. Dave proposed to Megan over Thanksgiving break and they were married in June.

Summer 2013
Dave and Megan took their high school youth group to the Dominican Republic for a missions trip. While there they knew God was calling them back to the country. Dave was offered a position with Students International Ministries. He accepted.

Summer 2014
Megan and Dave moved back to Jarabacoa. Megan is working part-time at Doulos Discovery School and homeschooling a local girl in the afternoons. Dave is now on staff with Students International. His main focus is the baseball site.

Fall 2014
Megan and Dave welcomed their first child into the world! Joshua is perfectly formed and such a good baby!

Fall 2017
Megan accepted a new position at Doulos Discovery School as the instructional coach while Dave started teaching math part time and supervising all education sites for Students International.

Winter 2017
Megan, Dave and Josh were blessed by the opportunity to expand our family. Indiana joined us! She is a determined, strong seventeen year old that loves Josh deeply!

Spring 2017
Baby Cole joined our family. She makes us a family of five and we couldn't be happier!

Fall 2018

Indy has started her senior year at Doulos while Josh begins PreK4. Baby Cole will stay home with Mommy for one more year.

Fall 2019

Indy has left for Santander, Spain for university. She is studying communications and can't wait to explore Europe.
